Conservatism is synonymous with hypocrisy

Conservative planner Karl Rove mad rather outrageous claims recently towards the Democratic Party. Rove, the architect behind President Bush's election victories, on Wednesday night told a gathering of the New York Conservative Party that "Liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers." Conservatives, he said, "saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war."

"I think Karl was very specific, very accurate, in who he was pointing out," communications director Dan Bartlett said. "It's touched a chord with these Democrats. I'm not sure why."

I find it hilarious that when Karl Rove makes statements that are not very specific or very accurate, the GOP stands behind him. However when Howard Dean makes a very specific very accurate statement about the Republican party being the "white christian party", Republicans get their panties in a bunch.

Cheney: Dean 'over the top'

Let's look at the facts here... compare the number of Democrats who voted to invade Afghanistan compared to the number of conservatives of a non-white, non-christian persuasion.

Conservatives get your heads out of your collective asses please. Stop hurting America. You accuse Democrats of hurting America but who proposed the war in Iraq without an exit strategy? Who sent soldiers without the proper equipment? And who failed to act when capturing Bin Laden was possible?

You know what, never mind, just go work on your anti-flag burning legislation and the Dems will worry about America.

Don't fuck with the guy in the U-Haul van.

The single greatest thing in the world outside of sliced bread is U-Haul insurance. When you rent a vehicle from U-Haul, you are given insurance, this insurance covers any damage you may do with their vehicle, let me tell you, U-Haul insurance is bloody brilliant. Essentially if you get into an accident, you can walk away, U-Haul will cover it, no increased insurance rates, no police report (if the police are not involved), no record of the accident at all, brilliant.

So all I have to say to those of you, who feel that they can cut off the U-Haul van, because it is a U-Haul van (I had this moron pull out of a parking spot right in front of me, had I been going a little faster I would have trashed his car) DON'T FUCK WITH THE GUY IN THE U-HAUL, cause I have insurance and I'm not afraid to use it.

Bleeding heart conservatives...

Conservatives love to talk about things that don't really matter, and pass legislation to things that appeal more to the heart then the head.
For instance, take this: House approves flag-burning amendment. Ok, I'm not a flag burner, I really don't see the point, but an amendment to prevent flag burning... doesn't our government have better things to do?

Part of my thinks, fine, just pass it and get it over with. I'm sick of conservatives constantly droning on and on about this. Pass it and move on, start focusing on things that are important, like health care or stopping the exporting of jobs outside of the united states. How about passing some legislation to protect people's pensions from corporate malfeasants? How about some legislation that protects people's right to vote? Or maybe some legislation to ensure anyone who wants to go to college to go to college?

Some how anti-flag burning legislation... not a big concern. No body died for a flag, people die for what a flag represents, if you are willing to throw your life away for a flag, you seriously need to rethink your priorities. Instead people need to rethink what the flag represents, is our government living up to the ideals that anti-flag burning legislation deserves? Is the flag worthy of protection if the government that it represents conducts illicit deals? Is this flag worthy of representing a country that violates human rights and ignores the geneva convention?

Maybe we should focus more on why people burn flags and less on the burning of the flags.
